A family journey through Delhi & Agra.
“Ajay planned our sightseeing in Delhi and our trip to Agra. Both days went so smoothly, and he was flexible about what we wanted to do at each stop.
In Agra, we had a meal and visited the Taj Mahal. Having Ajay lead the planning helped us navigate costs and language barriers. Although he was knowledgeable himself, he also found us an affordable guide who gave us an informative tour at the pace we wanted. When we wanted to skip certain sections or move more quickly, Ajay communicated that to the guide and made the entire experience feel seamless.
When our train home was delayed, he quickly arranged for us to travel to the next closest station and catch another train back to Delhi. It was such a relief not to have to stress or worry.
During our day in Delhi, Ajay regularly checked in to make sure the pace was comfortable for us. He also had amazing suggestions for chai and lunch. My 10-year-old son had many questions throughout the day, and Ajay was kind, patient, and explained everything to him so well.

Before the business had a name
In 2011, Ajay traveled through India with a group of college friends. The journey included crowded trains, sudden rain, a Kerala houseboat, cultural encounters, questionable budget decisions, and an orange suitcase that became much more permanent than anyone expected.
Looking back, the foundations of Travel & Toast were already there: translating between worlds, making sense of unfamiliar moments, keeping people together through chaos, and finding joy in experiences no standard itinerary could recreate.
